Frog Accidentally Launched Alongside Rocket

During a recent rocket launch at Wallops Island, Virginia a frog ended up airborne alongside the craft.

During a recent rocket launch at Wallops Island, Virginia a frog ended up airborne alongside the craft.

Photos of the take off captured the amphibian as it leaped into the sky, dramatically backlit by the rocket’s flames and exhaust.

A Wallops spokesman has assured the public that the photo wasn’t altered in any way.

No in-camera tricks were performed either, as the image was snapped by an unmanned, sound-activated camera.

Based on his knowledge of the equipment’s workings, the man who set the apparatus up estimated that the frog was about 150 feet away from the blast.
